For Augustus Prew, THE KID was a project that had a strong impact on him.

“The script and the book really got to me as soon as I read them. They brought back to me things from my childhood I haven’t thought about for along time. There was a little girl in my school who always seemed to have bruises on her arms and legs. Looking back at that now I can’t get it out of my head. Was she being abused at home? Nobody seemed to do anything about it.”

Prew has acted for film and TV since he was child. His key film credits include ABOUT A BOY (2002) with Hugh Grant, THE SECRET OF MOONACRE, and is set to star in CHARLIE ST. CLOUD alongside Zac Efron.
