Jodie Whitaker’s had already heard the buzz about Nick Moran’s TELSTAR when she signed up for THE KID.

“I was really excited at the prospect of working with him. I read the book which I found incredibly moving. I loved its directness and its language. It’s not stylised at all like some autobiographies. I found there was a real honesty and rawness about it. And the script was very close to the style and the feel of the book as it was also written by Kevin.”

Jodie Whitaker’s first film role was starring alongside the legendary Peter O’Toole in VENUS (2006). Her other key credits include GOOD (2008) with Viggo Mortensen and Jason Isaacs, ST. TRINIANS (2007), WHITE WEDDING (2009) and PERRIER’S BOUNTY (2009) with Gabriel Byrne, Jim Broadbent and Cillian Murphy. She has recently completed HARMONY with Dougray Scott and Emilia Fox and ATTACK THE BLOCK with Nick Frost and Luke Treadaway.
